Ordering FAQ’s
Our mission is to make doing business with us easy, hassle-free, painless, and most importantly, fun for everyone. In order to do that, here are some things to know prior to ordering:
Return/Refund/Exchange Policy
Please contact us immediately if there are any problems with your product or order, and we will be happy to troubleshoot, replace, or refund the product price upon buyer return.
Refund is given in the manner paid. Charges, as a credit to the card it was paid on. Check refunds will be issued a check 7 business days after the sale occurred. Cash will be given a cash refund. If ordered online, credit will be issued via PayPal 1-7 days AFTER we receive the item back and we have sent out replacement product, if applicable.
In the event of a NSF check or declined credit card, we will attempt to arrange with the client for alternate payment for 30 days from notification. After that, we reserve the right to refer the client to a collection agency. If this occurs, all future client transactions will require full payment in cash or money order payable in US Dollars at the time the order is placed.
Props, Masks, Prosthetics: Once your order has been placed, and 72 hours have elapsed, your order may not be cancelled. We will be happy to amend your order, as long as it is equal or greater to the original order.
Custom Work: We want to insure your ultimate satisfaction by working with you to get the desired results. It will be up to AEO’s discretion whether a full or partial refund is appropriate. It will be also AEO’s discretion to cancel, with full or partial refund, custom work in progress.
(We define custom work as items that are made by hand and are customized to the client’s requests.)
We CANNOT accept any returns on makeup products, fangs or prosthetic appliances due to hygiene regulations.
It is at AEO’s discretion to have final judgement over returns, exchanges and refunds.
These policies are current as of 3/9/2012 and subject to change without notice.
Item Availability
We carry MOST items listed in our shop. However due to space and product quality issues, there are items, colors, styles that we do have to order in. We will notify you and give you these options: canceling the order, substitution or wait until we get the item in. Most items will normally take a week to get in, we will advise you when we expect it to arrive.
Ordering:
Whether it is in person in the showroom in Orlando, at one of the many tradeshows we attend,
or via our online store, it is considered a legally binding transaction.
Before an order is placed, please read the descriptions for the items desired and ask any applicable questions for clarification. Doing so will save everyone time, as it is the buyer's responsibility to understand what they are buying.
If you made a mistake, please give us the courtesy of telling us so, so we do not follow up with the order further or if on eBay, we can cancel the transaction, rather than report non-payment.
On custom orders, payment is due upon ordering, we require a 25-50% deposit when the order is placed. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your order to be processed. We will notify you when it is ready to be shipped and ask for payment for the remaining balance prior to shipping.
Shipping and Handling
We also offer shipping discounts depending on what and how much is purchased. Please contact us, and we will be happy to discount your shipping charges. Depending on what is purchased, an additional 25-66% can be saved off of the shipping total.
We offer USPS and UPS shipping. Please contact us directly for international shipping info.
Our cart does not calculate these charges accurately. In the event that there is an abnormal charge, we do issue refunds via PayPal, or please make a request to recalculate the shipping charges (as we would charge $3.50-4.00 for a 5oz item, NOT $9.00). Just keep in mind that items like an 16oz bottle of latex weighs approximately 24 ounces, so the item would be charged accordingly.
We are a business, and therefore have expenses.
Shipping: Actual shipping charge. Handling: The boxes, packaging, paper,
shipping label and the printer ink, PLUS the labor and the gas to take your purchase to be shipped.
We do not make money off of Handling Charges; it is merely there to cover those expenses.
At the current gas prices, it is cheaper than driving to see us in our Orlando showroom or all over your town trying to find products that you need. It is also environmentally friendly, as you’re not sitting in traffic or driving for miles to make a purchase. Let USPS or UPS do all the driving for us.
Customs/Duties/HAZMAT/Latex and ProsAide
Customs, Taxes (ie VAT, GST), and Duties are the buyer’s responsibility.
We do ship HAZMAT internationally. However, the list of allowable items is short.
Please let us know prior to ordering if you have any questions.
We do ship HAZMAT within the US. However, it will be via UPS Ground, which may incur additional charges.
If that is the case, it will be in the item descriptions.
Latex and Pros-Aide are best shipped during 1 April to 31 October. The rest of the year, if shipped ground, the product risks freezing, leaving the product useless. The best way to get latex and/or ProsAide during the cold months, is buying it locally, or paying for UPS Next Day Air, which costs more.
